About me

My name is Mattia, and I am a psychologist with a focus on personal development and meaningful change. I began my psychology journey at the University of Applied Sciences in Leiden, where I earned a Bachelor's degree in Applied Psychology. During my training and early work experience in mental healthcare, I discovered my drive to help people break through limiting patterns and move toward their goals.

Over the years, I have specialized further including in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and as a registered SKJ youth professional and cognitive behavioural therapist. These methods help me tailor my approach to the unique needs of each person. My style is clear, collaborative, and focused on gaining insight that leads to lasting change.

I stay up to date by studying Clinical Psychology at the Open University. Clients often describe the space as open and safe, and value how I support them in taking grounded steps toward greater clarity, self-understanding, and real change.

Explore what’s possible together

A no-obligation intro session shows how we will achieve your goals together. No waiting lists.

Approach

My four-phase approach, from intake to results, offers structure and clarity. Step by step, we will work toward your goals using proven methods like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). This structured process helps us stay focused, flexible, and grounded in what works.

Introductory consultation

Our work together begins with a free consultation. In this session, we will get to know each other and discuss your needs and expectations. If we find a good match in terms of both approach and connection, we can move forward into the exploratory phase.

Exploratory phase

In this phase, we explore the roots and expressions of your concerns through psychological guidance. I help you reflect on your thoughts and emotions and understand their underlying causes. Together, we work to increase your self-awareness and insight into the effects of your behavior.

Goals and method

Next, we define how to use this newfound awareness: what would you like to accept or change? What are your goals? I help you clarify your questions and define your objectives. Together, we choose the most appropriate method such as therapeutic conversations, psycho-education, psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), systemic therapy, or work-focused therapy.

Duration and impact

The duration of the process depends on your situation and goals. Positive results are often noticeable within one or two sessions. On average, a CBT-based trajectory consists of 10 to 14 contact hours, with frequency and duration determined together.
